A little about me....

Most of my life has been dedicated to the guitar.  I received a Bachelors of Music from Middle Tennessee State and a Masters of Music from Southern Methodist University, both for guitar performance.  Yoga was there off and on while I was growing up but it became a necessity after 3 years of touring (in a van....making no money...yeah that kind of touring.)  In most cases I prefer innovation over tradition. I don't prescribe to just one form of yoga or one "guru," if you will.  I believe in adapting to the individual based on what I see and what the person feels. My style combines a breath centered approach (Leslie Kaminoff, Desikachar) with ways your body fits itself (Nevine Michaan-Katonah Yoga) and emphasizes graceful transitions (Simon Park-Prana Flow.)  If you catch me on the right day I may even get the guitar out for savasana.

Thai Flight:  We start by discussing breath and setting a meditative tone for the session.  This is followed by a short sequence of assisted thai yoga on the floor based on your specific needs.  Then the "flying" begins.  You will be suspended from my feet and enjoy a series of twists, folds, backbends, and many other openings that are heightened by the fact that an inversion is held throughout.  If you would like a sample then just ask me after a class and i will be happy to demonstrate!
